OH LORD,OUR LORD.......

Oh Lord,Our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth. As we drive around all the curves, on our way up to Gatlinburg, and I look out at the leaves changing colors.
I am truly reminded of how majestic You really are.....in all the earth!
The mountains!
The streams!
The Pumpkins on the sides of the roads!
Fall has truly arrived! Oh,Lord I am so mindful of how much You love us, and all while being the majestic God You are. You didn't even need to love anybody,Lord, but You chose to love us.
I think that is awesome, in itself.
Yes, how majestic is Your name,in all the earth, and Heaven too!

MAKING SENSE

Why is it, that the people who have such a hard time believing all the incredible things that are going to happen, in the book of Revelation, are the same people, who believe in the virgin birth, and the risen Savior?
Something doesn't make sense,here.....Aren't they both from the word of God?

TRUE CHRISTIAN BLOOMS

I'm telling on myself today,folks! I bought a plant, back in July, to give to a very special person. I watered this Orchid, and babied it, and even had my husband watering it, just so I could keep it alive and healthy, for her July 25th birthday! There was a slight problem, though.......... After I gave it to her, and made her promise not to forget to water it, I was informed,........
It was a silk plant! Have you ever felt dumb,folks?
Well, this 'ole kiddo felt like I fit right in at the "dumb" factory! You couldn't judge a book by its cover on this plant, because it looked so real.
In the same way, we have to be careful not to judge other people by their outward appearance. We need to accept them, just as they are..........as Christ accepted us. Don't try to water them down with our own ideas. We can encourage them with the fertilizer of God's word, because with that, they will stand a better chance of having a garden of true Christian blooms!

LEAVE IT ALONE!

As Edie and I were getting ready to go on the retreat, she told me the neatest example of how sin can grow on you, when you start bothering with it! She noticed, that she had a "zit" forming on her chin, so she started fooling with it, to make it go away.......The only thing that happened, though,was it grew bigger and uglier, and more noticeable. If she had just left it alone, to begin with, it would have gone away!
Isn't that the truth? Sin does the same thing......... It pops up on us, and we start to fiddle with it(instead of leaving it alone), and before we know it, it gets bigger and bigger, and almost takes us over, with a full blown "bad sin".(They're all bad,I know!) If we would have left it alone, in the first place, it would have disappeared at the very beginning, and left no trace! Why don't we learn?

I thought you might enjoy reading a letter to me, from my grandmother, when I turned 14. You might get a better understanding of me and my faith, when you are through!This is why it is so important for us, to encourage the younger ladies, and our own daughters....It pays off in BIG dividends in the future.I know!

This is a birthday letter that I am writing to you for your 14th birthday. I would like for you to keep this always, so you can have it to show your children and grandchildren......
I love you, Becky,in so many ways. The sweet trusting little prayers that you have prayed at night and at mealtime in our humble little trailer which meant more to me than you will ever know. How you read the Bible stories of Him who said I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am,ye may be also. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so,I would have told you.
These are great promises,and I know you believe them, and will always keep these things in your heart. When temptations,sorrows,disappointments,failures,happiness come that you will think on these things and always have that simple faith in Him who has never lost a battle, but is ready at all times to hear us when we come to Him.

I LOVE YOU TO PIECES

I can't get through a single sentence of thanksgiving tonight,Lord, before the "aroma" starts drifting upwards..........
I thought about how thankful I was for my Grandmother Bouterse, who devoted so much of her time to telling me all about You.
I remembered getting a whiff of that aroma drifting Heavenwards then, just as I do now. You know, as much as I love to hear the praises of my children, I feel certain that our Heavenly Father absolutely adores the praise we extol on His Son, Jesus Christ! That's what is so nice anout this praise.......
My pen just keeps writing and writing, and I never know when it will stop, and sometimes I'm not even sure of all the details I am writing about, except that it will always be about a wonderful God, and Savior.
It's all about Him!
I just love You to pieces, Lord........

I'm back in my room again,just listening to "The Light", and thinking how mighty and awesome our God is. I did manage to have this one intelligent thought though this morning.
Can you imagine how absolutely horrible it will be,someday, for all those people who will be left.....(the ones who didn't choose God, to begin with....) when God removes His Holy Spirit from them, and it is no longer there to remind them of what is right or wrong?
Oh, what a world it will be then!
I don't know about you, but I plan to be long gone, before then!!!

HOLD FAST!

Did you ever stop to think that when you were in, say, the lowest point in your life, and you needed someone "special" to talk to, that God seemed to provide just that certain special someone at just the right moment in your life?
Did you ever notice,how He seems to do it over and over again, with all the things you do?
If you can't see it, then you probably aren't looking hard enough.........
Next time,slow down and look for those people you don't ordinarily see, who just happen to "pop" in at just the right time, with the right words of encouragement.
Hold fast, and give thanks, for you might be entertaining angels unaware!

I have no idea what today is, but it doesn't really matter. I'm just enjoying the breeze, and watching the seagulls fly overhead.

FINAL MANUSCRIPT

I picked up my book from Murr's Printing, downtown, today, with just enough copies, to take with me, when I give my testimony, next January. You know, our own, individual testimonies, are being lived out and printed on the very fabric of our lives......
We need to make each page the best page of our lives, for Christ.............. When the final draft is finished, and we are ready to submit the finished copy, we need to proof read what our book is saying, and make sure it's grounded in the word, before the final manuscript is sent off to the "Head" publisher.

RULES TO LIVE BY

We are a society who lives by rules.
We have rules for basketball,tennis,golf,hockey,swimming,bowling,car racing...........
Just about everything in our society is governed by rules, and we don't seem to mind!
We just accept them.......and abide by them!

Now, why is it, then, so hard for us, to understand, that God, has given us rules to live by too?
Yet,we don't want to accept them!
And we don't want to abide by them!
But, by far, the biggest rule of all, was, that we had to accept Jesus Christ, if we wanted to come to the Father.......
And yet, some people, still don't get it,do they?

THAT'S OKAY

As I looked out at the pale,pink sky tonight, I thought about how absolutely awesome it was, and how beautiful God had painted the heavens..........
But in the same breath, I came to the conclusion,that in the end times, when there aren't anymore pink sunsets, it will be beyond my imagination then,to think what will happen, or what our world will be like?
Even though we have been given a glimpse in scripture.........
I still can't fathom it!
But, that's okay, because, I know somebody who does understand it, and if He's okay with it, then so am I !

RITUALS

I think some of the neatest times,growing up,are when you have little rituals, that you do with your family. My family always acted out the Nativity scene,at Christmas, as children, growing up,and my children did it too! (They still talk about it! )They miss going to the Christmas Eve service;.... Baking cookies at Grandmothers house;.....Christmas caroling in the neighborhood;........Lots of little rituals that build character and memories.
Some of my fondest memories, are things I have done over and over, year after year. Try NOT doing it one year, and see how much fussing you hear?!
Christ wanted us to remember their time together by observing the Lord's Supper, when we came together. He thought it was that important too.......
Find some special thing to do today, to help your child grow. It is a neat character builder!

I just love the Welcome Wagon, when I move to a new city!
They always arrive smiling, with open arms filled with goodies, and lots of helpful information.........
What a pleasure to be welcomed into my new home in this new city!

Just thing folks.......someday, in the not so distant future, we are gonna have the most glorious of Welcome Wagon's waiting for us, all filled with the gift of Salvation thankfulness, concerning our Heavenly Mansion, and praises about all that's going on in Heaven,because.............
Jesus, will be waiting, with open arms, welcoming us home to stay!

MY RESCUE MISSION

This one's quite prophetic,folk's!


As I watched, and listened to the newscaster, interview a young man from New Orleans, about the devestation he lived through, during Hurricane Katrina,I saw a chopper descend to load and pick up some of the victims and carry them away to safety. As the chopper took off, the newscaster informed us, that this "rescue from hell" was flying off to safety up above, and that it was his turn to go!
Now, I know he meant the chopper,but how prophetic that our rescue, really does come, from above!

I will be heading to the beach today, for a week of just relaxing. I will miss sending out my journey's,folks, but after this past week, and all the devestation in the gulf states, I really need to get my very own spiritual batteries recharged. My heart is grieving once again over all of this.... It is so important for us, to remember that God is keenly aware of what is going on, and that He is still in control!
We need Him now, more than ever........
Why does it take us so long to figure that out?
Anyhoo, I will recharge, and listen to the "gulls", and watch the sunsets, and hopefully hear His whispers to me.
What a mighty God we serve! Let us serve Him, with the mightiness of His faithful word, and continue treating others with love and respect...
