HELL,NO!

This was a really cool journey today........see what you think. While I was putting on my makeup, this morning, I was listening to "The Light", and heard something, that I quickly jotted down on paper.Hope this makes sense to you.......

You know how, when we were growing up, our parents were always warning us to watch out for snakes, as they could bite; we were told,"don't play with matches", 'cause you can get burned; they told us not to fool around with guns, 'cause you can get killed;don't ever drink anything out of a bottle with a skull and cross bones on it, because that is poisonous.......
The point is, in all of this, in all of our lives, we have been told about harmful things, and to stay away from them.We have been given warnings from our parents, to keep us out of "trouble".
Now, why does it surprise us so, to hear our Heavenly Father,"remind" us, over and over, of the harmful and awful place called "hell", and why we need to stay away from it?

SOUND PLEASURE,OH GOD!

How cool to have a beach house, named "Sound Pleasure". It's named that, because it is situated on the sound, at Edisto Beach,SC, but as Becky Mo, so graciously pointed out,it is "sound" in its pleasure, because it gives off "God's" Sound Pleasure, to all those who come and partake of its treasures......
God's absolutely breathtaking sunsets;the lapping ocean surf;the seagulls cry;the swaying Sea oats;the brilliant blue sky, dotted with powder puff clouds, and yes, even a horrific rainstorm, complete with thunder and lightning!
Sound Pleasure indeed! Pleasure to hear Your word too,Lord, because that's always sound, and I love sharing it, so Sound Pleasure is a most accurate name for my gift to You! It's healing and comfort........ and it's pleasurin' me right much!
You are my Sound Pleasure,Oh God!

HOW TRUE! HOW TRUE!

How true! How true! You know it takes some of us a long time to learn that we're not the "Pruners" of the vine,in God's vineyard. That's up to God!
(We might be a thorn in the flesh for some people though, and in need of pruning!......)
When we remain in the vine, as God's branches, and are honest with our feelings, we as His branches, could honestly say,"ouch" when He prunes us, but we know that we'll bloom even better when He's through with us. He's working for us, a far more exceeding glory than this little 'ole pain.........
Whatever it takes to make us more Christlike........
He will do!

ETERNAL FREEDOM

Thank You, Father, for this week, with believers, listening to the word. Remembering especially the words of one who thanked You for those who died giving us our freedoms in this beautiful land, we call America, and all the freedoms it has given us!
In this same instance,Oh God,I give You thanks, for giving us Your Son,too, who gave His life for our freedom from sin......
A far more precious freedom, because it is eternally everlasting!

NO ROOM

No wiggle room for satan!............ I like that!
If you ever give him an inch, he will take over your life, so don't even "think" about giving him "wiggle" room in your life!
Jesus was adamant about this, and so conclusive about this in all His dealings with satan, right from the beginning......"Resist the devil, and he will flee", and Jesus did just that! He wasn't about to let satan into His heart and mind. His heart and mind already belonged to His Holy Father.........not satan.
We do need to be on the alert, though, for this persistant "manipulater" !
He'll try everything under the "Son" to sneak up on you, so be prepared!!!

EGG CUSTARDS

Billie and I use to go to Morrison's Cafeteria, for our lunch break, when I was working for the Augusta Mall.
I always got the same thing too. Either liver, yellow rice, and egg custard, or shrimp, yellow rice and egg custard! Such choices! There were so many things to choose from, but I always picked my favorites.....
I've had the very same thing since my first time there, and never changed!
You know,it's the same way, when we choose to walk the Christian walk. We have to choose to answer God's call to our heart.......we can either accept Him, or not!
I always said I hoped I was raptured with a Morrison's egg custard, 'cause they were so good!
One thing's for sure, though, the most important thing to choose, is the best entre' in the whole selection, and that's Jesus Christ!

THAT'S MY STORY & I'M STICKIN' TO IT !

Vickie and Drum came down to see us yesterday, from Aiken, and I was able to see some fabulous pictures of their one month stay in Hawaii. As I looked at the picture of Vic standing on the older lava formations, I was in awe!
But too, I was thankful that our God was not as unpredictable as those lava flows. You can never truly tell when an earthquake will blow, or the path it will take.......you can only guess.
With our God, we can be sure, because we have His Holy word, to tell us exactly what to expect, and He is always true to His word!
If He said it, you can take it to the bank, in its truth!
That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

COME TO JESUS!

Have you ever seen a 58 year old mother go bonkers at a christian concert? Well, 'ole Bec here, just lost it, when Chris Rice, sang "my" song,"Come To Jesus", in North Augusta,on Friday night. I enjoyed "Jars of Clay", and "Sara Groves", but the words to "my" song just move me, beyond tears, and touch my heart deeply, folks!
While my daughter sat next to me,(she's the one who invited me, and took me to the Firehouse Sub Restaurant for dinner, which was delish!) I was reminded of how grateful I was for answered prayer to have a daughter and sister in the Lord.......
But,Oh that song!.....and Oh, to have Chris Rice sing it!
I am so blessed to have Matt play, and Jeff Beck sing this special song, but to have heard the original artist play and sing it too! Whooppeedogs, folks!
........Just think, though,
If we accept it, we have the original, in Jesus Christ!
Now, that's something to Whooppeedog about!

KNOWING THEM,JESUS!

In 1953, twenty some children arrived at their first day of school, in Mrs. Cooley's, and Mrs. O'Hara's first grade class. at Mount Dora Elmentary, later renamed Roseborough Elementary School......
52 years later, about 18 of those first graders reconnected for their 40th high school class reunion, at the Lakeside Inn, in Mount Dora,Florida. What a treasure to take a boat cruise down the Dora canal, and to tour the "new" MDHS, that has been built to replace our old "new" school.
As I looked into the faces of my classmates, this is what I saw:
I saw Bob Pohlman's homemade meatballs, that he made for the Spaghetti supper, to help out the school.
I saw Mrs. Mc Cabe helping us with our Junior Garden Club flower arranging.
I saw Mrs. Potter working with the scouts, as a den mother.
I saw Doreen's father creating beautiful orchid corsage's, from ones that he grew.
I saw Mrs. Wilson creating adorable crocheted covers for all of our hair spray cans.
My treasure of friends from first grade through high school, 'til now, was made possible, because of the devotion, and dedication of loving parents, who thought more of their families, than of themselves........I think I probably have one of the kindest and most appreciative classes anywhere around..........they're just truly neat......and loving!
My hat and my heart goes out to them, in thanks, and love.
(And to my Lord, because most of them, are probably all up above, anyway, knowing them!)

I'M OFF!........AGAIN!

Well folks,I'm heading off to my 40th high school class reunion today! Ten years ago, when we gathered together, I had just lost David jr. but hadn't had my brain hemmorrage, so I imagine there will be some noticeable changes in me!
Please lift me up, on this, my journey. I love my classmates, and am excited about getting together with them, but I do so want the image of my Lord, to shine through in a non-threatening way.
My prayer would be, that when they see me, this year, they will see the fragrant aroma of Christ drifting forth, in a pleasing frame, and in my usual, and quirky manner.
Thank each of You, for lifting me up...........
