THANKS BE TO GOD!
I came home from a funeral today, and it has left me feeling somewhat melancholy.
The rector, giving the homily, mentioned that we so often tend to forget the people who are left grieving, after their loved ones have died.
Having lost my dear friend,Lois, several years ago, after about 50 years of friendship, I can certainly agree with his thoughts! It is so hard on those left behind.
It's kinda like having to put a puzzle together and having someone come along and take away one of your puzzle pieces!
You have the puzzle of friendship all ready to go, and one of the pieces is missing. The puzzle can't be complete! It never will be again.
You can have a framework to your puzzle of friends, and..... many adjoining pieces.
You can be a friend in your framework, and have many adjoining friends.........
You can be "almost " complete, except for that one piece that is missing, and..... that one piece made you who you were!
So it is, with friends, and those you lose.....
They are gone, and the missed piece makes you incomplete.
You still have your framework, and your other adjoining friends, and you will always remember your "missing piece."
It was that special piece who helped make you and your puzzle
a masterpiece, that God created!
Thanks be to God for their lives.....
Becky
