HAND ME DOWNS
Being the last of five children, meant that I didn't get many hand me down clothes.
Mother always made me several new dresses for the school year, for the most part, but with three older brothers,it didn't work too well with hand me downs.....
Mama loved to sew their shirts and I think they all had hand me down palmetto tree shirts..........forever!
Another kind of hand me down, that has held me up, throughout my life, has been the teaching from my Grandmother Bouterse. She and my Mother both had this enduring faith and taught me so much about the Lord, but because I spent so much time, as a young girl, with Grandmother, her hand me downs consisted
of Jesus through and through.....and it was fun too!
Today, this reminds me of Timothy and his grandmother and Mother; Lois and Eunice......
Both of them, raised him in the fear and admonition of the Lord. He was ready when his time came, and boy did it ever! He knew the way to go, and so do we....
What a hand me down he received!
What a hand me down we can give!
The nice thing about this hand me down, is,...... I don't have to match the darts!!!
