THE BEN WHITE RACE WAY

For my 13th birthday,my parents took me over to the Ben White Raceway.
No, it wasn't a raceway then! It was a dining facility with a sulky track underneath it! It was a spectacular event to this 13 year old, and it was my first experience with finger bowls! ..Dear me!
Mama tried to warn me, but I wasn't prepared for that little bowl of warm water, with the lemon slice floating around in it....and the little wash rag! As I recall, I had something very greasy, and I think I probably took a bath in the thing that day!!!
I don't know if the horses were trotting,or not, but you better believe, that my fingers got cleaned,folks!
You know, Jesus also took our dirty,smeared up and sinful selves, and dipped us in the bowl of His shed blood.
This wasn't a finger bowl, though.....
It was a soul bowl.......
