DIGITALIS

Grandmother Bouterse had high blood pressure, for as long as I can remember, and she took a medicine called Digitalis,for it.
I remember her always scrunching up her face when she took that little greenish grey pill, and saying that it was "bitter as gall". I always wondered what gall was, and that it must have tasted horrible, for Grandmother to have made a face that looked like that!
In the book of Acts, we're told that gall is a poison of bitterness, or in "bondage of iniquity"......
I guess that would be a pretty bitter pill afterall.
The only other pill,I know,that would be alot more bitter, would be to swallow the fact that we didn't accept Jesus as our Savior.....
Now, that would be a bitter pill to swallow........wouldn't it?
