THE WEDDING FEAST
One of the special times,I had as a young girl, was of going to Orlando, with Mother and Grandmother Bouterse. We always went over to Kress's;Rutland's, and Lerner's, but the highlight of my day, was when we stopped at Morrison's for lunch......
Now, this was not just any Morrison's folks!
This was a most unique cafeteria, because the kitchen was in the middle, and the two serving lines were on both sides of the kitchen!
The waiters who greeted us, were always the same delightful elderly black men, who welcomed us, with their friendly smiles, and who called us by our names.(How they remembered us,I will never know,......but they did!) They wore a shiny badge on their jackets, and were some of the most courteous men I have ever met.
Ofcourse I had to have my fried shrimp;yellow rice; corn muffin, and egg custard.(unless I got the Liver);I would still get this today too!
This remembrance reminds me of the Homecoming in Heaven, to the Wedding Feast of the Lamb!
He will call each of His own, by name, upon arrival.
Woo Hoo!
Just think of the gazillions of people in the Universe whose names He will know.....
........and those who will miss out!
Becky
