HOME ECONOMICS
One of my favorite subjects in high school, was Home Economics. Partially because of my teacher, Mrs. Clement, who was so special, but also because I enjoyed learning the art of becoming a good homemaker. I enjoyed learning how to cook, and sew, but Mrs Clement taught us manners; how to sit correctly; and so much more of the "good stuff".
When we were in our sewing class, I brought in my grandmother's Singer Featherlite sewing machine, because it was so much easier for me to use. I grew up using Mama's home made guide sheet, so it was hard for me to get use to working with a real one. In the long run, though, it was better for me to follow the rules of the guide sheet............Afterall, that's what they're there for!
The Bible is our own personal guide sheet for life too!
We don't have to lay it out!
We don't have to pin it!
We don't have to mark it up! (It helps though sometimes!)
The best benefit comes, when we read that guide sheet, and follow the directions, and we'll be outfitted for life!
