GRASSHOPPER & THE ANTS

One of the stories I loved to read, when I was growing up, was "The Grasshopper And The Ants." That ole grasshopper would make me so mad when he wouldn't store up his food for the winter like the ants, and then he would start singing: "Oh the world owes me a living!" He was so foolish to think the world owed him anything if he wouldn't work for it!
When I look at our world today, I see this same attitude in lots of places.
This same sense of apathy is so prevalent all around, and so many folks seem to think that the world owes them a living too!
Actually, if it weren't for the love of God and the compassion of Jesus Christ, we would be facing death, square in the face!
So, the world doesn't owe us a living....No!
We owe our living to Jesus Christ!
May we all be ants that learn to store up for ourselves treasures in Heaven.
