MERRY HO HO
I will wake this morning, and answer the phone, by quickly saying:"Christmas Gift"........ That's a tradition in my family!
I will have walked my hand painted wooden nativuty figures on their trek to the stable in Bethlehem, just as I did as a child, and as my children did, growing up!...... That's a tradition too!
Then, there are the Christmas carols that I love to hear. When my children were little, we would carol around the block, and come back to the house for hot chocolate and Krispie Kreme's............ That was a tradition too!
Remembering my Mama singing "O Holy Night" on Christmas Eve, was probably one of my sweetest memories, along with a more melancholy tradition of placing yellow roses in David junior's stocking every year, since he left to spend Christmas in Heaven in 1995................. That's a tradition too!
George is in Nevada now, and he will be missed!
Kelly will be coming down on Christmas Day!
These traditions seem different when you get older, don't they? I think they are even more important then.......
The tradition takes on a whole new twist. Atleast one tradition never changes, though.....
That, of placing our Lord first at Christmas and all year through!
May each gift you unwrap, this Christmas, be a reminder of the many gifts and blessings that our Lord has bestowed upon us! I consider each of you a tradition of blessings, that I want to continue celebrating every year. Your love and friendship is a gift from God to me, that I cherish so very much.
As we dine on David's Prime Rib,my stuffed potatoes, asparagus casserole, and key lime pie, along with cakes, and frozen peppermint pie, I will thank you all, and wish you a very Merry "Ho Ho".
I love you all............
Becky
