THANKFUL.....

When I was in high school,I had a study hall around lunch time, and was able to walk downtown to the community building, with two other people, and help serve lunch to the Rotary Club on Tuesdays, and the Kiwanis Club on Thursdays.I was paid a $1 and received one of Mrs. Cook's fantastic home cooked meal's. Then,the three of us, would walk back to school, in time for the next class,which for me, was lunch!
On one of my Thursday's,one of the older gentlemen asked where I wanted to go to college, and when I told him that I hoped to go to Montreat,he said that was a great school. I had no hopes of getting in, but I should have known my God would be working overtime for me!
It turned out,that the elderly gentleman was on the board of directors at Montreat, and pretty soon,I was on my way to Montreat College, and some of the best years of my life!
When we step back, and look over our circumstances, we can often see God's handprints all over everything......"I know the plans I have for you"..... and He certainly had them mapped out for me! I'm mighty thankful for those years at Monttreat!
Actually,I'm mighty thankful for my God!
