THE WAR

My Daddy was stationed up in Wayzata,Illinois, during WWII, making crosshair fibers for optical binoculars, and in his spare time, he often drew pictures from the comic strips. He would draw them on the envelopes of the letters that he mailed home to my brothers and sister, to and my Mother. Many times he addressed those letters to "Those Katzenjammer Kids", and would only write Mount Dora,Florida for the address. The address would be written inside of a miniature envelope, being carried by a drawing of Superman flying in the air! Mind you, there were no zip codes back then, but the mail man always knew who Daddy was sending those letters to! If one came to "Little Bo Peep", with with a drawing of Bo Peep on the front,it went to Betty Ann. If "Little Boy Blue arrived with his drawing on front, then my brother Jeff received his letter.Michael was known as "Pickle", so he got those that might be drawn especially for a little boy, such as "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". I wasn't even a gleam in my Daddy's eye yet. While he was gone,he drew a picture of three children in a tree, with a basket hanging from the branches, and its caption, was "When The Wind The Wind Blows".....He was announcing the arrival of my brother Chris!(I was 3 years later)Daddy was an architect by trade,so his drawings were detailed and precise in every way. They are a tribute to the life of my fammily in a most unique and creative way....
Think about this God of ours, though, and how He knows where we are, every single minute of every day! He doesn't need a zip code to get to us.
Daddy was only in WWII....
God has been in every single war!
He was in the first war with satan, and He will finish the war with satan too.
As always, GOD WINS!!!
