ABIDE IN ME

He has told us to abide in Him, and doesn't that word sound nice?
I looked up the definition in the American Heritage Dictionary, to find just one definition, and all of them, seemed to sum up what our Lord might say......
(1.)To wait patiently for (2.) To be in store for;await(3.) To withstand;persevere under(4.)To accept the consequences of (5.) To put up with;tolerate (6.)To remain in one place or state. (7.) To continue;endure(8.) To dwell,or sojourn.(9.) To conform or comply with......
These are all different tenses and forms of the word "Abide", but if you look closely, I think you will see some association with our Lord and Savior,Jesus Christ!
I think, when we abide in Him, these things will come to pass much easier than when left on our own....
Just saying the word sounds nice, doesn't it?
