BRUNSWICK STEW
When I make my Brunswick Stew, I fix a mock one, that’s just
as good, but much easier for me to prepare. I take left over shredded pork, and
mix it together with my left over butter beans; stewed tomatoes, and niblet
corn. I pour in a tad of Worcestershire Sauce and let it simmer for about
fifteen minutes. I serve it over rice and it is delicious! When you take
something left over and combine it with what you already have, you have
something new!
That’s the way the body of Christ works too. When you take
“leftovers", or folks who have been grounded in the body of Christ for a while,
and mix them together with new flavorings and new additions, then you have the
most delightful presentation offered showing what the body of Christ is suppose
to look like! Add your gifts to the body of Christ and watch what God does to
make that church grow. He will bless your socks off!
Take God’s word and simmer it for a good while. Stir in a tad
of patience, and when you serve it, add a spoonful of His grace, tempered with
mercy, and smile when you are doing it!
This gets ‘em every time!
Becky
