EDISTO WAVES
I drove to Aiken today, to meet with Beth, and help Phyllis celebrate her birthday! What fun it was to watch her unwrap all the individual gifts that we had gotten her, as we ate lunch, at one of our favorite plaes...........Maliah's! (Yum!)
Such a special time to be together. I didn't know, that I was gonna have a double blessing, that day, when I returned to Edie's house, though, as another very special friend,Sally, brought over a quilt, that she,Marolyn, and Gail, started quilting for me, when I left Aiken, in 2003. It is absolutely beautiful, and is filled with sea shells, and love. Ofcourse, the tears flowed, especially, when Sally told me, that the pieces were done, in remembrance of our son David, who loved Edisto, and was dating her daughter, Amanda, at the time of his death. The name of the quilt, is "Edisto Waves".
It's a wonder I got through the afternoon,folks!
Only God can take all the pieces of our lives, and stitch them together, by using friends of all kinds; experiences, and our faith in Him. He then wraps that "Faith in Him" all around us, as a covering, joining us together as one......one body;one quilt, in Christ, but many pieces.........
And I like that. Won't you join us?
Becky
