NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST

..............As I drove down Palmetto Boulevard to the beach house, at Edisto today,I noticed all the beach front houses that had once been run down. These were the plain 'ole "beachy type" homes, that had been refurbished, and made over on the exterior, and polished up, to look like they had stepped out of a "BetterHomes and Gardens "magazine! I couldn't believe my eyes! I wondered if they weren't the same old houses on the inside, though........even with all the makeover on the outside.
...............So many of us think, that, if we just fix ourselves up, on the "outside", we'll be presentable to the Lord, and acceptable to those around us. Nothing could be farther from the truth! Christ doesn't dwell on how we look,(unless, it's a direct result of our relationship to Him!)but He is concerned with our thoughts , on the inside, and what we do with those thoughts!
...............In the long run, we too, might have a new house, but it will be one that God builds within us!
